280 Sainte-Catherine West - Pavilion of the École supérieure de Mode de Montréal (UQAM)

Formerly two buildings grouped into one, the building built in 1913 would have been at originally designed to accommodate “department stores”. Following the displacement of the main arteries montreal businesses on Sainte-Catherine Street at the beginning of the twentieth century, the construction of this building stands out for its gray stone storefront and its ornate ornaments. A complete floor will be added in 2014 following the restoration work.
